He grew up in Yakima but has traveled extensively, spending time in a multitude of different environments and cultures. Erik graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1991 and received his Masters of Architecture from SCI-Arc in 1999. He has over 20 years of professional architecture experience and has spent more than 10 of those years at KDA.
Erik has developed a wide range of project experience and focuses primarily on healthcare design. He loves to investigate the client’s requirements, concerns, and needs and then integrate them into environmentally conscious and inspirational design solutions. As an architect, he enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, developing the design from the initial project concept, and then fostering it all the way through construction.
Outside the office, Erik can be found spending time with his family snow skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. He also finds quiet solitude in painting.
