Kalkidan worked in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for approximately ten years before joining the KDA Architecture staff in 2007. In addition to her design projects she was an inspiring instructor and head of the department at Addis Ababa University School of Architecture; the first woman to hold that position.

Because of her unique experience, Kalkidan adds a new perspective to KDA projects. She understands the clients vision and meets functional and aesthetic goals through fresh and comprehensive designs. Her dependable nature and strong work ethic make her an invaluable team member on any project.
